In the summer season, you can take a real cruise between Lipno nad Vltavou, Frymburk, Černá v Pošumaví and Horní Plana. Choose a sightseeing tour with an interesting program or an evening cruise. The boats depart several times a day.

The Forest Kingdom is a large forest playground near the Treetop Trail. All attractions are inspired by the forest or the Šumava nature. You can frolic in the Castle Trails of Forest Animals, find your way out of the robber Godoš’ maze, or frolic on the squirrel obstacle course.

If you enjoyed Lipno in the summer, don’t hesitate to come back in the winter. The local Lipno Ski Resort offers more than 13.5 kilometers of slopes, 4 cable cars and countless snow attractions such as ski cross tracks crossed by a tunnel, a snow park, timed parallel slalom or snow cross.

You can try out two bobsled runs right in Lipno nad Vltavou. You can find them above the central parking lot. There are mountain and trough runs available, which are intertwined. Lipno is the only place in the Czech Republic where you can find both runs at the same time.

A phenomenon of Lipno Lake is ice skating. If natural conditions allow, people can skate on the so-called Ice Highway. It is the longest maintained ice skating rink on natural ice in the world. It measures almost 11 kilometers and connects the towns of Lipno nad Vltavou and Frymburk.

The Lipno Treetop Walk is the first of its kind in the Czech Republic. It takes you along a 300-meter-long walkway between the treetops to the observation tower. From a height of 40 meters, you have the Šumava in the palm of your hand.

Pack your swimsuit, kids, dog, mother-in-law or friends and head out on an adventure on the river! A group of great people, lots of laughter and maybe even a few unplanned swims await you. Although the river looks wild, anyone can do it.

On the Lipno Dam, in the immediate vicinity of KORZO DELTA, there is the longest lake pier in Central Europe. The pier is freely accessible at any time of the day and its transformation from day to night will be appreciated by visitors of all ages. If you want to extend your trip from Godošova hermitage, you can continue to Čertovo kopyto. This interesting rock formation resembles a hoof in its shape. You can climb it, there is a rope. From the top there is a beautiful view of Lipno Lake and Lipno nad Vltavou.

Let yourself be drawn into a world of fantasy and admire the beauty of tropical butterflies. Visit the Papilonia Lipno Butterfly House. Don’t miss the butterflies flying among visitors, perching on tropical plants or feasting on fruit in bowls.

On the Lake Cycling Trail between Lipno nad Vltavou and Frymburk, there is a statue of the so-called Lipno Fairy in the water (roughly halfway there). It was placed here in 2011 during the construction of the cycling trail and has been a popular excursion destination ever since. You can also relax here, sit on a bench and enjoy the view of the lake.

An adventure labyrinth with obstacles, a slide over two floors, shooting cannons and a trampoline, an inflatable kangaroo, a ball pool for the little ones and other attractions – great fun for children and a guarantee of well-being for adults.

The Lipno region boasts dozens of interesting hiking trails. You can go to the so-called Godošov hermitage, for example. From the parking lot on the Lipno dam embankment, follow the blue tourist trail along an easy path up into the forest. The hermitage is a rock formation surrounded by legend.

You can enjoy a fun ride through the Šumava forest on routes with banked curves at the top of Kramolín in Lipno nad Vltavou. You can board the so-called floatrail track, which will take you to the Promenádní cable car, from which you can then reach the top.

A walk around the important technical monument of the Schwarzenberg Canal, around the Stone Sea to Plešné Lake is an experience that both adults and children will love. You will learn all about wood floating in the Šumava Mountains or about glacial lakes. You will walk past one of them to the viewpoint to the monument to the “poet of Šumava” Adalbert Schtifter.

The unique natural monument Čertova stěna is one of the most famous and most visited rock sites. You can find it on the road from Lipno to Vyšší Brod. There is a parking lot in the right-hand bend, from where it is “a stone’s throw” to Čertova stěna.

Crowded beach or rainy weather? No problem, you can spend your free time in the water paradise of Aquaworld Lipno. It may not be the largest, but it is well equipped and very popular. In addition to the swimming pool, you will find a children’s pool with a water sponge, counter-current, whirlpool and massage jets.

The most beautiful cycle path in the Czech Republic encircles the Lipno Lake. It connects Lipno nad Vltavou, Frymburk, Frýdava and Přední Výtoň. There is a ferry between Frymburk and Frýdava. The route is particularly suitable for families with children or inline skaters. Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit and take a dip along the way.

This place is known mainly by locals and lovers of virgin, yet undiscovered nature. The hill called Luč towers over the Vltava River. It is made up of a unique granite massif and the remains of a scree forest. Together with the Devil’s Wall, it forms a national natural monument.

Above the settlement of Sv. Tomáš, about 6 kilometers from Přední Výtoně, there are ruins of the highest castle in Bohemia (1053 m above sea level). From its tower you can enjoy beautiful views of Šumava, Lipno, Novohradské Mountains. In favorable weather, you can even see the majestic Alps.
